BILL RITZEL, O.D.

Dr. Ritzel is a native of Belleville. He attained his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Oklahoma College of Optometry in 2000. He completed a post-graduate residency in the medical and surgical management of eye diseases at Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric Association, the Southwestern IL Optometric Society, and the Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness. In 2014 Dr. Ritzel became one of the first Optometrists in the region to attain Board Certification by the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Ritzel accepts patients of all ages. Always on the forefront of new developments in eye care, Dr. Ritzel tries to think “outside the box” to provide unique, customized, and innovative solutions to his patients’ vision problems. Outside the office, he serves as an Elder at Fairview Heights Church of Christ and enjoys bible classes, cycling, and spending time with his family. Dr. Ritzel and his wife, Jana, were married in 1997, and have 2 children.

Dr. Taylor grew up in Freeburg, IL and enjoys practicing in the area. She attended Indiana University School of Optometry where she completed her Doctor of Optometry Degree in 2017. She has been with Belleville Optometry since August of 2017. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association. Dr. Taylor enjoys all aspects of optometry and sees patients of all ages, but has a special place in her heart for pediatrics. In her free time she enjoys running, traveling, exploring outdoors, and spending time with family.
